Ms. Hannah Turns One | Kannapolis North Carolina Children Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing one of our friends daughter's first birthday party.  The kids had such a good time at the splash pad, train ride, and spending time/meeting new friends.

Here are a few pictures from Ms. Hannah's special day.!.

We were able to get a few pictures before everything started.

She loved her little car that she got for her birthday.  Every time someone would try and get her out, when they opened the door she would close it right back.  So funny and cute.

Fun at the splash pad!

I always like to get a before picture of the cake
And the finished product.

Who is Who | North Carolina Toddler Photographer

You may remember that last week I did a blog post about a sweet little girl's first birthday session.  Well Ms. Avery has a big sister that I also did first birthday session with last year, so I decided to go back and look through the photos from Ms. Addison (the older sister) session from her cake smash.  I was so surprised at how much these two little girls look alike at that age.

Just for fun, I thought I would post to see what all you guys thought.  Check out the two pictures below.....can you tell who is who?

Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. C!!!! | Personal Blog Post

I am working on putting together a blog post about this sweet couple's recent family session.  However, I wanted to send a shout-out to them to say CONGRATULATIONS on your wedding last weekend.  They are such a sweet couple, and I wish them both nothing but the best and a long happy life together.!

Hold hands every chance that you can, be the best you can be, listen, hug often, care more, love deeply, treasure always, be the first to say I'm sorry, kiss good morning, kiss and make-up, kiss just because, kiss goodnight, always be willing to compromise, respect one another, be a team player, remember why you fell in love, make a promise to each other to find time to be alone together, don't forget to laugh, and lastly love each other!

Ms. A Turns O...N...E | Rockingham North Carolina Children Photographer

Ms. A turned one in April, but we were unable to get together to do her one year pictures/cake smash until the end of April.  It had been a while since I last saw the family, and the first time meeting Ms. A in person, had only seen pictures through Facebook.  She is such a sweet little one and looks so much like her sister did at this age.

We started the session out by doing some pictures of the two girls together and then moving to try and get pictures of the girls by themselves, then we moved on to the cake smash.  Mom made Ms. A's cake and I think she did a great job, and just loved the colors that she used.

I had so much fun hanging out with the family and catching up with them.  Hope you enjoy some of the pictures from our session/time together!

Before shot of the cake

One of my favorite shots of the cake smash.  She wasted no time getting into the cake, only she went face first and no handed, to get her first bite.

Happy 1st Birthday | Personal Posting

Yesterday was a happy but bittersweet day for me as we celebrated our little girl's first birthday.  Bittersweet in knowing that her baby stages are slowly going to be a distant memory, but also happy in watching her grow.  Happy in seeing the love that her brother has for her grow each and every day, but also bittersweet in knowing that the "sibling fights" will soon be starting.  (I just pray that they have a bond like my brother and I have, despite the "sibling fights" we use to have....sorry for all those headaches we must have given to you mama.)

Lexi.....We hope that you had a wonderful birthday yesterday and can't wait to celebrate it this weekend.  Mama, Daddy and Zak love you very much.

These are not official birthday pictures, just some pictures throughout the year with her.  Here official birthday/cake smash pictures will be coming soon.

His first time holding his baby sister.  He was in love the moment he saw her.

I have a picture of my dad and Zak just like this....must go dig it up.  Looking at this picture, I can't believe how much Zak and Lexi look alike.

Nelson Family | South Carolina Family Photographer

Photographing families is so much fun for me.  I love to see the bond that mothers and fathers have with their children, the way the kids eyes light up when you talk to them and get to know them better as you are asking about their favorite things, and just getting the know the family in general.

I've know the mother of this family for a while now as we have grown up together, but have had fun getting to know her daughter and husband (and her better) through the past sessions that we've had together.  They are such a sweet loving family and I truly have so much fun with them.

It turned out to be a chilly morning the day that we met for this session, despite the few days before when it was so warm.  However, we still had a lot of fun.  Kristen you have one beautiful little girl, and she is so much fun to be around.

Enjoy!

Ms. Ashley ~ Senior 2013 | North Carolina Senior Photographer

I want to start this post out by first saying how very proud I am of this young woman.  She is not only a smart, beautiful girl; but she is so sweet and loving too.  Ashley's smile is so infectious that when you are around her you can't help but to smile too.

Ms. Ashley will be graduating distinguished this year and has already been accepted to several colleges (one of which is LSU).  No matter where she ends up going to college, I know that she will do wonderful and she has a very bright future ahead of her.  She is going to make a WONDERFUL teacher some day, and the kids in her class will be lucky to have her.

Congrats Ashley on your upcoming graduation!
